We’re spending a year traveling North America by camper with our three boys. This is where we’ll share photos, stories, and updates from the road.

Our Story
In June 2026, we packed up our travel trailer, left Wisconsin behind, and set off on a year-long family sabbatical across North America.
Our goal is simple: spend more time together, explore remarkable places, meet interesting people, and learn from the world around us. Along the way, we are roadschooling our three boys through hands-on experiences in national parks, museums, historic sites, small towns, hockey rinks, and everywhere in between.
This journey is also a chance to slow down and reconnect. We’ll be sharing stories from the road, lessons learned, favorite campgrounds, outdoor adventures, and the occasional glimpse into engineering, research, and university life. Whether you’re family, friends, students, colleagues, or fellow travelers, we’re glad you’re along for the ride.
Our Year On The Road
Follow our family’s route across North America, one campsite at a time. We’ll keep this roadmap updated with the places we’ve stayed, the miles we’ve logged, and the stories that unfold between those wide‑open views.
